should be short lived...revisiting some of my favorites...today it's 06-15 Greek Theatre...might dip into red rocks or Springfield...sometimes you just need that speedy careening over processed Dead sound, complete with whammy bars loopiness from Bob and fiery glub glub guitar from Jerry...

trouble ahead...chili dog enthusiast in red...

6-24-85

One of my best days ever. I'd been sitting in my office listening to WEBN, the great Cincy radio station, when they announced that tickets sales had opened. I went immediately to Ticket Monster and told the clerk I wanted one ticket. He said 'how about 5th row - center section? 'Well, duh?'
So, I'm standing about 15 feet from the stage when I felt a hand on my back and turned to see one of my best frinds. She was wearing a long blue dress, and I thought she was still in Chicago.
One of the best kisses I've ever had.

Holy Veggie Burritos, I don't think Garcia gets one lyric of TLEO...almost as bad in Alabama Getaway, however Garcia is stepping out all day on his playing...hilarious as Healy washes away Weirs weirdness before Loser...

Right and don't forget the Healy craziness. Hershey and 11/2/85 are oft overlooked goodies.

For a shown opener, Jerry rips an amazing solo on Touch.

I was

And for some reason every time I go backand try it again, some of the jams just seems disjointed to me. I loved Saratoga and had a great time at this show but it's not one I go back to very often.

I think it's great how a show can really set in with one person and not another. Or even wear off over time.

I like cliffs wine analogy. Different favors and vintages for different folks and your own tastes usually change over time. Some just stick forever.

4/04 features the best 1st set of the year. '85 fans, if there were any, would consider this one of the best 1st sets of the 80's.

I wish there was a better source out of the many options because this 1st set kicks patute! Listen to Jerry's vocals on Dire for some convincing. Or Jerry's guitar on El Paso.
